More about Apostle Dr. Patricia Wiley

The daughter of Deacon Kater and the late Prophetess Katie Rodgers, has been blessed to do many things in her life,  Apostle Wiley is the Senior Pastor and Organizer of Oil of Joy Ministries II, Inc., in Brooklyn, New York and Apostle of several ministers that are under the Oil of Joy Ministries II banner. Apostle Wiley was an educator for the New York City Department of Education at Public School 158K.  

 

She graduated from Hunter College with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Education/Sociology and she has a Master of Science Degree in Education, specializing in Early Childhood Education.  She successfully completed thirty credits above her Master’s Degree in various areas in education.  She has received an honorary Doctorate of Ministry Degree and a Doctorate of Theology Degree from Anointed by God Ministries Alliance and Seminary in 2008 and she received an honorary Doctorate of Divinity from Saint Thomas Christian College in 2009. In 2014, she received a Doctorate of Theology from Mt. Carmel Bible College & Theological Seminary, Inc.

 

God has sent her into numerous areas of teaching, bringing her back to the areas of early childhood education.  She believes and exemplifies that we should work as unto the Lord, glorifying Him in all that we do.

Apostle Wiley founded the “UMOJA” models, a group of professional models with God-given talent to bless others. They have performed throughout the Metropolitan area, as well as New Jersey for various organizations, charities, churches, and private events.

As a graduate of Barbizon School of Modeling, Apostle Patricia Wiley has received training under the expertise of Mr. Travis Winkey Studios of Baltimore, Maryland, through the Edwin Hawkins Music and Arts Seminar.  She has assisted Mr. Winkey in teaching and training new models.  She has also taught fashion seminars in various states.  She has modeled as a full-figure model across the United States of America. Apostle Wiley has modeled for several modeling troops: Justice Unlimited Models, Kochise Models and others.  She has coordinated shows throughout New York, New Jersey, Michigan and Philadelphia, just to name a few.

She is a former member of the Bethesda Baptist church where she served for thirty-six years under the leadership of the late Dr. C.E. Nesbitt, Sr.

Several years ago, God called Apostle Patricia Wiley and the late Reverend Sharon Pickens to start the Christian Men & Women Intercessory Prayer Group, which started in her apartment with two members.  Under the direction of the Holy Spirit, they began having Bible study before intercessory prayer.  Today, the ministry has grown to hundreds of intercessors.

In March of 1994, Apostle Wiley was ordained by Bishop Jerry Anthony O. Graham to the office of Reverend.  On July 27, 1998, the Apostles Martin & Michelle Johnson of Kingdom Worship Center in Aurora, Colorado consecrated her to the office of the Apostle.



 

Apostle Wiley now oversees several ministerial leaders, training and equipping them for service unto the Lord.  She is the Founder and CEO of “In the Word Bible Institute” of Brooklyn, New York where the word of God becomes a lifestyle.  God has given her this vision and she has dedicated herself by the help of the Lord to teach God’s people; thereby equipping them to walk in the power and anointing of God.Apostle Wiley has been on several radio and television shows throughout this country, such as TBN, WWRL, WWDJ, TCT as well as numerous news segments.  She has produced a television talk show on Brooklyn Cable Access Television (BCAT) at Medgar Evers College.  In addition, she travels extensively throughout the city and country, preaching and teaching God’s word; teaching is her heart.   

 

 She has also ministered in the Caribbean.  She has written articles in many publications and is the author of daily devotional entitled “Time to Change”.  She has broadcasted on radio station WSNR-620 AM dial every Saturday at 12:00 noon.  Every 1st Thursday of each month she is teaching and praying with Oil of Joy Ministries II, Inc at 9:00pm sharp; dial in (302) 202-1119, access code 443475.Apostle Wiley has earned countless awards, citations, and merits of honor.  She has also received the Ecumenical Award, presented by the Key Women of America.  She received recognition from Who’s Who among American Teachers, citations from Nassau County Legislature, citations from New York Assembly and the Borough President of Brooklyn, New York.  

 

 

The Christian Times saluted her strength, power, and leadership in ministry by nominating her to be included in their new year’s publication featuring 20 dynamic and progressive ministries across the city.  Her most recent recognition is from Bishop Melvin Bayne & Apostle Lilia Bayne of Triumphant Full Gospel Assembly where she received a Proclamation, several awards and citations.  Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams and Bishop Lamar Whitehead saluted her with a Citation, NYS Assembly Certificate of Merit and Leaders of Tomorrow Brooklyn’s Epitome of A Woman Black History Award presented by Latrice M. Walker, member of the New York State Assembly, 55th A.D.   

 

Apostle Wiley was selected for recognition of the Leaders of Tomorrow Brooklyn Black History Tribute for outstanding contribution to the community.  On Sunday, March 5, 2017, Apostle Wiley was presented with The President’s Lifetime Achievement Award by President Barack Obama, for her life-long commitment to building a stronger nation through volunteer service.  On Saturday, September 23, 2017, the Allen Jamison Ensemble of Pleasant Grove Tabernacle, Bishop Albert. L. Jamison, Sr., Senior Pastor, presented her with the Black Women Rock Award 2017. At the close of 2017, Apostle Wiley received honors from UaReAChampion Empowerment Network headed by Elder Asia K. DosReis and received another citation from Brooklyn Borough President Eric L. Adams and Bishop Lamar Whitehead.Apostle Wiley has served the community and various charitable organizations, helping to clothe and feed those in need and supplying the schools, churches and individuals with whatever God has spoken for her to do. God had brought her a long way.  He has given her gifts to share and she is willing to do it to her fullest potential.  She loves Him for His love to her and knows that she can do all things through Christ who strengthens her as she continues to humble herself in His sight; she knows that He will lift her up.  Her faithfulness and obedience to God is an example for others to follow.  She praises God for her many accomplishments, but her main endeavor is to please Him.  To God be the Glory for the things He has done.
